I'M ANDREA MORRIS

I am fascinated by the beauty and the mystery of wildlife and the human form.

I am always looking for an interesting way to portray my story with color, images, and bold brush work. My paintings begin with an idea and as I lay down my first strokes of paint I am always anticipating where my painting will take me and what it will teach me about myself.

The journey of challenge and discovery with each painting keeps me mesmerized and fascinated at what a blank canvas, brush and paint can bring to life.

I have developed the use of strong patterns and colors to represent the subjects in my compositions and use diverse objects to represent thoughts and emotions to tell the story behind the painting by using paints, inks, collage, spray paint and found objects to create interesting mark making.

I have won many best of show and have been asked to judge various art shows. I have had articles written about me and have been a featured artist at galleries.
